Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a roommate starting July 1st for my 3.5-room apartment in Witikon, Zürich. The apartment includes a kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub, a living room, and a balcony.
Currently, I live alone with my cat, Sushi, and I'm looking for someone who'd like to join our little family.
How to know if you'd be a good fit?
Easy: you should be outgoing, kind, clean, LGBTQ+ friendly, cat-friendly, flexible, and easy to live with. It's important to me that we can spend time together - cooking, watching a movie, going for walks, etc.
I'm looking for someone aged roughly 21-28, who speaks English and/or German, and who is very clean and tidy.
Since I often visit my boyfriend in Germany, it's important that you're open to looking after Sushi now and then. She's super friendly, mostly outside, and loves cuddles. If you're occasionally away yourself, that's totally fine - I'm also open to someone who just needs a place during the week.
About me:
I'm Dawson, 25, originally from England, but I grew up in Zürich. I work full-time as a purchasing/logistics coordinator, and I'm usually at the office except for 1–2 days a week when I work from home. I'm quite social and often have friends over for dinner or drinks (especially in summer). My boyfriend visits every other weekend or so. I'm also a smoker—but only outside. In my free time I like to write and record songs (also a singer), go on hikes, spend time with friends and go to the gym. I also love horse-riding!
About your room:
The room is about 15 m², faces the sunrise side of the house, and is light, clean, and spacious. It currently has a double-mirror-door wardrobe (different from the one in the pictures), which is available for your use, and possibly a double bed (to be confirmed). There are also wall shelves, which you can keep for use if you like.
About the apartment:
It's small but spacious, clean, cozy, and feels very homey. The kitchen is modern and a good size - but no dishwasher, so being tidy is a must! There's room in the cupboards for your stuff. The bathroom is smallish but has a nice bath. The living room is cozy, with a big couch, TV, and lots of plants. The balcony is long and narrow, but it's lovely for summer dinners as it faces the sunset.
What's nearby:
The Loorenstrasse bus stop is just a 4-5 minute walk down the hill, and there's a Coop on the way. Zentrum Witikon (with Aldi, Migros, Denner, and a pharmacy) is a 10-minute walk or a short bus ride away. A forest and fields are just 5 minutes up the road - perfect for jogging or summer BBQs. If you have a car, there are free parking spots right by the house.
Rent:
CHF 1,000/month, all-inclusive (WiFi, utilities - no surprise bills!).
I guess that's enough info for now! If you think you'd be a good fit, hit me up - I'd love to hear from you!
