The neighborhood

Unterstrass is part of the sixth district of Zurich and extends north of the city center. This spacious area was an independent municipality before being incorporated into Zurich in 1893. The district is home to the Irchelpark campus of the University of Zurich – not to be confused with Irchelpark, a beautiful green space open to the public.
