The Gemmi Pass
An ancient trade route and a postal road: The Gemmi was once the most frequented pass in the Alps! It connects the cantons of Bern and Valais. In the middle of the pass at 2061 m above sea level stands one of the oldest inns in the alpine Valais: The Berghotel Schwarenbach. Then as now, the mountain inn is in the right place; it is a stopover or starting point for mountain tours and numerous hikes.
The location offers a haven of relaxation amidst the seclusion of the high Alps.
