Restaurant "KRONE" - a guesthouse with a past
The Krone hotel-restaurant in the center of the village of Loèche-Ville was probably built in the first part of the 17th century.
According to tradition, Johann Wolfgang Goethe stayed at the Krone hotel during his trip to the region in 1779. The Krone is said to have been completely rebuilt at the end of the 19th century and modernized again in the 20th century.
The current owner has made further renovations and investments totaling around CHF 850,000.00 over the last 15 years.
Among the work carried out are the renovation of the five rooms on the second floor, the kitchen (floor/industrial oven), the dining room, the staircase, the buffet and the restaurant floor, as well as the installation of new windows. In addition, many new furniture and accessories have been purchased. The facade was redone in 2021.
In addition to the private terrace, the upper part of the main square is used as an additional terrace (30 seats) from spring to autumn. This terrace is available for a limited time, but an extension is possible.
The KRONE is a well-established restaurant in the community and therefore offers interested parties a very good basis for a successful continuation with an existing or new concept, without requiring major additional investments.
