The chalet consists of a table, a sofa bed, a wardrobe, and a low cabinet. In the workshop, on the lower floor (convertible into a room or bathroom with additional insulation), all the necessary tools for this type of chalet as well as outdoor accessories (umbrellas, deck chair, table, and outdoor bench) are included in the price. On the side of the mazot, outside the house, you will find dry toilets (non-insulated/non-heated) and the generator. Solar panels complete the property. The chalet has been very well maintained.


If you are looking for a place of absolute rest surrounded by nature not far from the ski slopes, the Maillolet is for you. In summer, you will access it on foot from the top of the chalet or from the bottom: your car can stay in the Les Masses parking lot. In winter, you can reach your chalet by skiing from the 4 Vallées ski slopes or by snowshoeing from the Les Masses chairlift. A nice walk awaits you on your own land: in the fresh air for sports lovers of nature! Once inside, everything has been thought out for you to feel in a Valaisan cocoon! The main works took place in 2006 and 2007. The mazot does not have running water or electricity. However, a spring is nearby and a generator is installed.


Works carried out:

• The refurbishment of two walls supporting the chalet
• The elevation of walls supporting the land around the chalet
• The excavation of the cellar transformed into a workshop (possibility to stand up)
• The leveling of the floor of the upper room
• The creation of more than 80 steps between the mazot and the upper road and others around the chalet.
• It would be advisable to trace a path with a simple barrier made of stakes and a rope.
• The creation of a flat area in front of the chalet
• The creation of stairs for access to the upper room
• The insulation and paneling of the upper room.

Access to the ski area:


Inaugurated in 2015, the Les Masses chairlift allows access to the Thyon-4 valleys area, the largest ski area in Switzerland, in just a few minutes. The installation, a detachable 4-seater transporting 1600 people per hour, allows for a drop of 600 meters in 4 minutes 30. From Sion, the capital of Valais, the Les Masses chairlift is the fastest access point to the 4 valleys area. Less than 30 minutes are needed to connect the plain to the mountain. At the departure of the chairlift, a large covered parking lot with 200 spaces welcomes you just 20 minutes from Sion. A FREE parking lot that allows access to the departure of the chairlift and the ski lift ticket offices via an elevator.
