Location
The hamlet of Schüfla is located in the midst of a unique mountain landscape, on the southern side of the Matter Valley at 1,450 m above sea level (municipality of Törbel VS).
Schüfla is accessible year-round via a natural road (15 minutes walk from the cable car station). Shopping facilities are available in the nearby villages of Törbel, Stalden, or Embd. There is also a school in the village of Törbel.
Mountain Farm
The mountain farm with various buildings and approximately 6 hectares of land is ideal for self-sufficiency or for those who want to live away from the "hustle and bustle", close to nature, simply and quietly.
The properties could also be used as a holiday home or for creative nature or social projects. Those who only want the houses and a small part of the surrounding land could lease the remaining land.
The farm consists of a residential house (4.5 rooms), barns, and stables. Another residential house with outbuildings could be purchased at a later date.
Additionally, there is the possibility to lease a new barn (Image No. 16) as well as several hectares of additional land.
Residential House
The residential house made of larch wood with an Eternit roof dates back to the 15th century and has been gently renovated. It includes a 4.5-room apartment on two levels with kitchen, living room (with a soapstone stove), bedroom, bathroom, and compost toilet.
The house has an electricity connection but no water connection. Water is fetched from the well in front of the house. However, there is a 1000-liter water tank with a boiler in the house, which supplies the bathtub and shower. The connection for a sink and for the water connection in the kitchen is prepared but not installed.
Goat Stable
Below the residential house is the goat stable with an above hayloft. Next to the goat stable, there is also a chicken coop (visible in the film tour).
Opposite the residential house are two other buildings covered with stone roofs.
Stables
The farm also includes two stables with above barns, which are decentralized on the agricultural parcels. One is covered with a metal roof, the other with a stone roof.
All roofs have been newly covered in recent years.
Agriculture
The farm is located in mountain zone 4 and has an area of approximately 6 hectares. It is particularly suitable for animal husbandry (chickens, sheep, goats, donkeys, cattle) as well as vegetable and herb cultivation.
