The "Chasa Urezza" residential and commercial building, now for sale, bears the architectural legacy of Zernez's devastating fire of 1872. Like many of the town's buildings, it was largely rebuilt in the Italian style, with semi-flat roofs that are otherwise uncharacteristic of the Engadine.
This historic property, which has retained its original character following a partial renovation in 2005, is classified as a "building worthy of preservation" in the Zernez Municipal Development Plan.
The individual residential and commercial units have been rented until recently and are suitable for continued rental. However, new owners are likely to tailor the spaces to their personal requirements. The property offers immense potential with numerous options for residential and commercial use. We would be delighted to discuss the conversion and extension options in more detail at a personal viewing.
