This quietly and idyllically situated chalet has a total of 4 apartments and can be used, for example, as a multi-generational house. The house is located in the Winkelmatten district of Zermatt in a green, natural environment, and offers a perfect combination of tranquility and traditional living comfort. It is ideal for relaxing family holidays as well as for permanent cohabitation. A total area of approx. 485 m² is available, spread over four floors: basement, ground floor, upper floor and attic. There is also the possibility to enlarge the house by 30% (subject to approval by the municipality of Zermatt), which can optimize the existing Matterhorn view. All apartments have a second home status, but can be used as a primary residence without losing the second home status.
The entire building contains four apartments, which are characterized by spacious, bright and open floor plans. In the basement there is a utility room (heating), two cellars, a bathroom with toilet and bathtub, a laundry room and a hobby room/guest room. On the ground floor there is a 2-room apartment and a 3.5-room apartment. A south-facing balcony also invites you to enjoy the sun and the mountain landscape. On the upper floor there is a studio and a duplex penthouse apartment with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. A separate guest toilet is located next to the spacious living and dining area. On this floor (1st floor) there is also a south-facing balcony as well as balconies on the east and west sides. From the south side of the house you can also enjoy a beautiful partial view of the majestic Matterhorn. There is also a fireplace on this level, as well as a connection that offers the possibility for a tiled stove or a wood-burning stove.
Zermatt is located at 1,620 m above sea level and is world-famous for its local mountain, the Matterhorn. But its special character, its friendly inhabitants and their traditions also make this village in Upper Valais unique.
The center is easily accessible from the apartment. Zermatt itself is car-free and can be reached with a special permit via the Täsch-Zermatt road or by the Matterhorn-Gotthard Bahn from Täsch. The Täsch-Zermatt connection runs around the clock from Thursday to Sunday. The rest of the week until midnight. In the village itself, transport is by electric taxis or horse-drawn carriages.
