The transport connections of the municipality of Stein are good. The main road 3 runs through Stein, connecting Basel with Zurich. In addition, the main road 7 branches off here, leading through the Rhine Valley towards Winterthur. The nearest access to the A3 motorway is about four kilometers away at Eiken.
