This charming 3.5-room apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a multi-family house built in 1995, in the idyllic hamlet of Mattsand, just two kilometers north of Saint-Nicolas.
The living room is open and welcoming, while the adjacent closed kitchen with dining area invites convivial moments. Two bedrooms offer ample space for up to four people. The high wooden ceilings in the kitchen and bedrooms give the rooms an airy and spacious atmosphere.
A particular highlight is the large south-facing balcony: here, you can enjoy the sun and there is enough space for a dining table or several sun loungers. The master bedroom also has its own balcony.
The apartment also includes a cellar, an outdoor parking space, and a parking space in the garage. The laundry room is shared.
Saint-Nicolas is located in the Nikolaital at an altitude of 1,120 m and is probably the longest village in the Upper Valais, as there are about 7.5 km between the first house of Sälli and the last residential building of Breitmatten. The village offers a wide range of active leisure opportunities and, in addition to a wide choice of winter sports, also has a large number of cycling paths and hiking trails.
Saint-Nicolas is an ideal starting point for the tourist resorts of Grächen, Saas-Fee, and Zermatt. The family ski area of Grächen is clearly laid out with 42 kilometers of slopes, snow is guaranteed up to 2,858 meters in altitude, and its unique panorama is impressive. 38 km of winter hiking trails, a toboggan run, and 23 km of snowshoe trails attract even non-skiers into the snowy winter landscape.
The network of hiking trails around the community is constantly expanding. The most well-known are undoubtedly the hiking trail leading to Alp Jungen, which can also be reached by cable car, and the Europaweg, which leads from Gasenried to Zermatt. But mountain bikers are also well catered for: a total of 13 routes are offered starting from Saint-Nicolas.
