In the middle of the village, close to public transport and yet very quiet, there is a factory converted into lofts with six residential units.
The building was constructed in 1867 by the Engelburg Embroidery Joint Stock Company. It is thus one of the oldest witnesses of an important era for the village. The heavy embroidery machines required a particularly stable construction, which can still be seen today in the massive foundations and strong wooden supports and beams.
The still original wooden skeleton construction, which is very well preserved in its structure, adds additional charm. The numerous large window areas bring sunshine and plenty of light into the room at any time of the day.
The entire building envelope has undergone a comprehensive renovation and redesign. The heat generation has been provided since 2015 through the Gaiserwald heat network and is thus independent of gas and oil prices and is also ecological. Solar collectors on the roof serve for hot water preparation and thus also contribute to environmental protection and provide a cost contribution.
Whether living with rooms or in the open style of a loft apartment is up to you. Currently, a separated sleeping area is available. The apartment is stylishly furnished and even allows a view of Lake Constance.
In the basement, there is a spacious cellar compartment, and bicycles and even a motorcycle can be accommodated.
Green areas such as the barbecue area and a workshop in the basement are established for communal use.
